Not an official service
DrBull's Matrix is run independently by DrBull Media (see our Contact page). It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the following:
- the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC);
- the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS);
- the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS);
- AIIMS;
- the National Medical Commission (NMC);
- the Ministry of Education's National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF);
- any state counselling authority, university or college.
Their names appear only to say where the data comes from. For official information, use their own websites and notices.
Past data, not a promise
Reports show what happened in past counselling rounds. They don't predict or guarantee what will happen this year. A seat that closed at a certain rank before can close at a very different rank now, because of:
- changes in the seat matrix, new seats or colleges, or seats withdrawn;
- changes in reservation rules, eligibility or domicile rules;
- changes in round rules, such as upgradation, mop-up and stray-vacancy policies;
- court orders and late notifications;
- the number of candidates and the choices they make.
Check before you act
Before you fill choices, lock a seat or pay any fee, check against the official notices of the counselling authority and the college. This applies above all to:
- fees, which differ by quota and course and change every year;
- service bonds and their penalties;
- stipends;
- eligibility for a quota or category.
How the data is shown
- Each closing rank is labelled with the rank list it comes from: all-India rank, state merit rank, or marks. These scales can't be compared with one another.
- Closing ranks are grouped by the category of the seat, which can differ from the candidate's own category.
- Where a document didn't print something, the report says so, rather than guessing.
- College facts (a NIRF rank, NMC's status for a course, NBEMS's accreditation for a DNB course) are shown only where we matched the college and course to that list, and only as the list stood on the date given. Lists change: check the current list before you rely on one.
- Demand stars compare how early a seat's open seat filled in the latest year with seats of the same branch, counselling and quota. They reflect past candidates' choices, which fees, location, bonds and branch all shape. They are not a rating of teaching, training or safety, and a college with fewer stars is not a worse college.
Errors
We check the data against the original documents, but mistakes are possible. If you spot one, please tell us (see Contact).
No professional advice
Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or career advice. We are not a counselling agency, and we can't help anyone obtain a seat.
